Rio Rancho Police Officer Petross stopped a vehicle for allegedly swerving between numerous traffic lanes.
The vehicle was being driven by an 18-year-old woman, who denied numerous times that she had been drinking, despite all obvious inebriation. Officer Petross called Officer Barragan, who initiated a drunk driving investigation.
The woman was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the end of the test, she was arrested for drunk driving. She was transported to the Rio Rancho police station, where she submitted to a breath alcohol test.
The result was a staggering 0.26% BAC. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
