The second season of *The Day of the Jackal* builds on the momentum of its predecessor, drawing audiences deeper into a world of espionage, betrayal, and personal reckoning. Eddie Redmayne reprises his role as the enigmatic assassin known only as the Jackal, a man whose skill in eliminating targets is matched only by the chaos of his personal life.

Picking up in the aftermath of the explosive Season 1 finale, the Jackal is forced to fight on two fronts: confronting the collapse of his relationship with his estranged wife, Nuria (Úrsula Corberó), and seeking vengeance against his former handler, Timothy Winthrop (Charles Dance), whose betrayal upended a critical mission. The new season promises a more introspective look at the Jackal, revealing the emotional scars beneath his calm precision and exploring the toll of a life lived in the shadows.

The ensemble cast returns with Eleanor Matsuura as Zina Jansone, Chukwudi Iwuji as Osita Halcrow, Lia Williams as Isabel Kirby, Sule Rimi as Paul Pullman, and Florisa Kamara as Jasmine Pullman. Lashana Lynch’s character, Bianca, will not appear, following the resolution of her storyline last season.

While an official release date is yet to be announced, filming is expected to begin in early 2025, with a projected release window in 2026, subject to production timelines
